Tennis Bathroom Finish Date set for Sept. 10

E-mail Print PDF

Work is in progress and on schedule with a finish date of September 10th for the new tennis bathrooms!  Just in time for ALTA season (Sept. 11th).

Tie into sewage system complete and severely water damaged southeast section of the building has been repaired.  New concrete wall replaces rotted wood frame.  New bulletin board ordered to replace 12 year old damaged bulletin board.  Photocell light installed under “shed roof”.  It was very important that we tackled this project as we were able to secure an important building that contains expensive pool equipment and electrical equipment.  The bonus was much needed repairs were accomplished while providing needed bathrooms in a cost effective manner.

See attached pictures of work in progress. (Submitted by Paul Peters)

Sports Area Bathroom Update

E-mail Print PDF
After considerable research and deliberation, we collectively have decided to cancel the Meadow and Sports Pavilion project.  Instead, we are delighted to report that we have four bids to renovate / restore and add two additional bathrooms to the existing Poolhouse building.

This is a far less costly endeavor, and the restoration of the Poolhouse building is necessary anyway.  Adding the bathrooms to the existing building also satisfies the many people who enjoy the meadow and basketball / tennis courts.

As many of you likely noticed, the old site was recently restored (we'll need to overseed grass when the weather breaks).  Work on repairing and adding bathrooms is expected to begin the second week of August.

Meadow and Sports Pavilion Rendering

E-mail Print PDF

Meadow and Sports Area Bathroom Addition

The meadow and sports area bathroom addition brings beauty and function to the Rivermoore Park community. The rendering below shows the new bathroom facility on the left with a covered breezeway connecting it to the existing structure. This breezeway creates a wonderful entrance to the Rivermoore Park meadow area. The new bathroom pavilion provides the following features:

  • 2 additional women's stalls (1 handicapped accessible)
  • 1 men's stalls (handicapped accessible)
  • 1 men's urinal
  • Diaper changing stations in both the men's and women's areas
  • Ventilation
  • Extra storage for tennis and meadow area needs
  • Rivermoore Park shake shingle, stacked stone look

Project Status

The pavilion project construction is starting in early May. The construction is expected to take 6 to 8 weeks depending mostly on the weather. The project is being managed by Direct Build - www.direct-build.net. The area directly across from the existing meadow bathroom is the primary construction area.  This area will be routinely sectioned off as needed to help prevent residents from entering the construction area. Direct Build understands that we have a very active community and is dedicated to keeping the area neat and in keeping with our look and feel during the construction project.

Direct Build will use the lower parking area as the primary staging area for building supplies and waste materials. This includes things like a dumpster for waste materials and other equipment needs.  The construction crews have been asked to park their vehicles in out-of-the-way locations in the lower parking lot so as to not take prime parking from residents.

We are dedicated to ensuring the least disruption to our community during the project. If you have questions or comments, please send them to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  We will post regular updates on this site.

Update 1 - May 6

During the initial 7 to 10 days, the project centers around getting the area ready for the foundation and plumbing connections. During this time the sidewalk near the existing pavilion bathroom will be removed to run the plumbing and water lines. The area will be sectioned off - to access the tennis courts during this time it will be most convenient to use the lower parking lot.  A small dumpster will be situated in the lower parking lot as they remove sections of concrete and other items.
