SECURITY PATROL REPORT

E-mail Print PDF
OFF DUTY OFFICERS DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!The off duty officers that have been hired to patrol Rivermoore Park are making a difference.  Below is a list of the issues the officers have handled since patrolling began in the subdivision.·         70 suspicious people total (many in groups). They included 1 male resident of Rivermoore in his 50s drinking liquor in the pool parking lot possibly observing the pool and its users (he was given two citations), several groups of people who were at the subdivision because they "heard it was a cool place to hang out at", people in/at pool after hours, a lady going house to house delivering fliers (all of whom were instructed to not return).

·         10 suspicious vehicles including one group of 4 juveniles one of whom had less than one ounce of marijuana and was cited and released to parents, several left the area after observing patrol cars, and one call for a suspicious vehicle that resident thought may be a burglary suspect (no burglary appeared to have occurred) and other vehicles parked in pool lot.

·         30 juvenile complaints including groups congregating at the pool and other common areas and attempting to get to the river.

·         2 suspicious activity calls throughout the subdivision

·         1 domestic call

·         1 discharging fireworks call which was self initiated and later called in by resident after problem already handled by officer

·         1 stranded motorist call for capsized vessel on river

·         3 traffic stops resulting in 4 citations

·         12 parents called to pick up their children

·         5 illegally parked cars resulting in 2 citations

·         32 people removed from pool.  2 lifeguards allowing non residents in pool

·         4 underage drinking and 9 smoking underage resulting in citations and parent notifications

·         1 assistance call in River Club for juvenile call.

·         Approximately 50 calls from residents to Officer Purvis after his cell number got out to residents unexpectedly. This resulted in calls reporting various issues and asking questions to Officer Purvis when he was not working. The Board continues to maintain security in the neighborhood with off duty police officers.

Stop sign at Allen Lake

The simple Stop sign at Allen Lake is temporary and will be replaced soon with the real deal.  We were informed that we needed a temporary sign for liability purposes.

Security Patrol Update

E-mail Print PDF

Hello Everyone,

A quick update, our security patrol has had a busy summer.  We have been using off duty Gwinnett County police officers and over the summer, they have made 12 citations.  Everything from loitering to trespassing to vandalism.  After implementing the patrols, vandalism dropped to zero and we have had a lot less trouble at the pool.

If you happen to see an officer, thank them for their diligence.

David Cross, VP

Street Signs

E-mail Print PDF

Hello Neighbors,

Unless you've stayed in your home all summer, you've seen the fallen street signs.  They are taking MUCH longer than anybody expected to replace because there are only a small number of vendors who can produce the signs or are willing to respond to our requests for bids.

Your board is just a frustrated with the situation as you are and we are working to get things fixed.  We will also be proactive and identify signs that need replacement sooner.

Red Oak garbage can pickup

E-mail Print PDF

Hello Neighbors,

We've been informed that Red Oak will let you drop off your garbage can at their facilities and they will cut you a check on the spot for your garbage can deposit.  They plan to come out "some time in the future" to pick up the cans but I wouldn't hold my breath?
